Five Parishes Paths Group

. . . . ARE YOU INTERESTED IN PATHS AND WALKING?
The Five Parishes Paths Group, which covers Maxton, Mertoun, St Boswells, Newtown St Boswells and Bowden, was formed to promote the use of local paths, open up old ones and new ones, improve the signage, publicise the paths and to get funds to carry out those tasks.
The Group has done a great deal of the recording, has opened or improved some paths and put up more signs and is about to enter the second phase of their work. They are very keen to attract more people to serve on the Committee for this new phase, but particularly young people and those who are working and have an interest in walking and paths.
Committee meetings are held about four times a year and at a time convenient to the members. There is also an AGM once a year and public meetings are held when appropriate, not often. If you would like to contribute to this very worthwhile work and be a member of the Committee then please contact the Chairman, Roger French, on either 01835 823095 or by Email at <Roger@rgfrench.plus.com>.
If you are thinking twice about it give Roger a ring and he will be delighted to give you more information.
